Bringing together teachers, community workers and students, theStepping out, breaking through conference offers a unique opportunity to:

• hear a range of perspectives on some of the barriers and solutions to achieving positive educational outcomes for young people
• share information
• showcase best practice
• develop your professional networks.

Over two days, sessions in a variety of formats will build a shared understanding of the personal, social, institutional and community issues that impact on educational engagement by students from diverse backgrounds.

• investigate issues, generate solutions and break down the barriers
• review past learnings, current realities and future directions in improving educational outcomes for young people.
